A colorful rainbow Ikebana vessel by Stuart Abelman. Using traditional techniques, this hand blown Ikebana is a rainbow of radiant colors in a design reminiscent of early Tiffany. Size is approximately 4 1/4" in diameter.

About the work

Ikebana refers to the Japanese art of arranging flowers in a formal balanced composition. Introduced in Japan in the 6th century by Chinese Buddhist missionaries, it became a a means of offering flowers to the Buddha. The container is a key element of the composition, and various styles of glass or pottery are used in their construction. This Ikebana vessel comes ready to display your fresh or dried floral arrangement.
