Natural Renaissance: Trisa, Doug and Bill Haisma
Trisa, Doug and Bill Haisma began their woodworking business out of a desire to repurpose wood scraps left over from remodeling their 100 year old home. As they continued their journey, they were stunned by the quantity of wood scraps generated by various furniture, flooring and construction companies that were discarded into landfills.
"Our mission is to make beautiful, quality work using materials and processes that are not only safe for the consumer but also for the artist. We believe that what was created in nature exhibits not only excellence and beauty, but also positively impacts the world around it."
Using reclaimed scrap wood purchased mainly from exotic flooring companies and guitar makers, the Haisma's create patterns that emphasize the natural colors and figuring found in nature.
