Established in 1981, Stanton Color has been a prime source for exceptional loose color stones and superbly beautiful finished jewelry. Using gemstones in a variety of materials, selected for fine quality cuts and extraordinary color, Stanton creates an extensive line of 14kt and 18kt jewelry.

By 1992, our customers were becoming increasingly attracted to fine jewelry. By the Bay’s objective was instantly recognizable. We set our sites on providing our customers with jewelry of the highest quality obtainable at best possible prices. In response to recommendations by several trusted jewelry makers, we met with Gary Malamed, head of Stanton Group. Gary came highly endorsed as an outstanding source for obtaining gemstones of unsurpassed quality.

By the Bay initially began purchasing loose stones from Gary around 1994. With a keen eye and rich source for rare or unique stones of amazing color, collectors looking for something special were able to find that exclusive piece of fine jewelry from Stanton Color. We also selected some very distinct pieces from Stanton’s extensive line of classic jewelry to incorporate into our inventory of fine jewelry.
