About the Work

These beautiful sculptures are hand made in Cheshire, Connecticut by the highly skilled artisans of Bovano Studios. Since 1952, they have been creating works of art using glass that is painstakingly applied and then fused to copper in kilns at 1600 degrees. A tremendous amount of work is required to achieve this level of detail, as glass is applied in layers and multiple firings are often required. The result is a unique, brilliantly colored wall hanging that will compliment any room. The sculptures are very light in weight and (in most cases) hang from a single nail. Because they do not rust or fade in sunlight, they are perfectly suited for any area in your home including bathrooms, kitchens and patios.
