The versatile garnet comes in a virtual rainbow of colors, including pink, red, purple, orange, yellow, violet, green, colorless, occasionally black, brown and many shades of red and green. The most common color of Garnet is deep red while, Russian Demantoid and African Tsavorite are vibrant green. This Rhodolite Garnet's color is characteristically a deep rose red and is the traditional birthstone for January.

Known for its rich and exquisite hue, smoky quartz can range in color from brownish-gray to black and can range in clarity from almost comlete transparency to opaque. The color of smoky quartz is produced when natural radiation, emitted from the surrounding rock, activates color centers around aluminum impurities within the crystaline quartz. 

Gold filled provides the color and luster of solid karat gold while keeping costs down. People often confuse Gold Filled with Gold Plate. Gold plate is a relatively thin coat of gold electro-plated over a base (non-precious) metal. Whereas, Gold Filled is made by mechanically bonding a much heavier layer of KT Gold over the base metal.
