Handcrafted by Jeff Mckenzie, this extraordinary 18K Gold ring features a 3.80ct Ethiopian Opal and 0.36ct Diamonds in a hand hammered split shank setting.

Gold karat is a measure of how much of the precious metal is contained in a piece made with it.

18-karat gold contains 75% gold and is made by mixing pure gold with other metals such as zinc, copper, nickel, etc. The additional metals in 18K gold serve to make the alloy harder and more durable than pure gold (24K), which is too soft for jewelry.
