A popular collector's stone, Apatite belongs to the allochromatic group of gemstones, meaning other colored. Found commonly in Myanmar, India, Kenya, Madagascar, South Africa, and Norway, this stone is appreciated for its wide variety of colors. 

Sterling Silver is an alloy of 92.5% Silver (.925) and 7.5% (.075) of a base metal- usually copper.

Pure silver is almost perfectly white, very ductile and malleable. It is concidered too soft for jewelry or flatware use, therefore the addition of small amounts of a base metal serves to harden the alloy.
